About me

Occupation RN in CVICU - Support Mercy Ships Canada
Location Canada
Introduction My Grandmother lost three brothers in WWI, and many of my family members served in WWII. My father, Robert Maxwell, was one of the many Canadian men fighting in Europe in WWII, and he continued to serve his country following the war. He spent his lifetime serving Canada but never spoke about the war. My search for the resting place of the three Great-Uncles I never knew, and the travels I took to see where family fought and died took me on an amazing journey that changed my life. In every poppy I see in the fields in Europe I see a drop of blood. It is the price of peace, the ultimate sacrifice, given so that we may enjoy the freedom we do today.

In the past I have completed marathons and triathlons. I even competed in the 1991 World Triathlon Championships! I have 6 sponsored children in developing countries around the world. I also love animals - our house always has several four-legged friends.
Interests Military history, sports, animals
