| Introduction | In 2007, I rode with WomanTours on the Southern Tier Route across the USA, from California to Florida, over 3100 miles. I absolutely loved seeing the country by bicycle and meeting people along the route. In 2008 I rode the Underground Railroad Route from Alabama to Canada, 2000 miles. Both of these rides were to raise money for the Wellmont Hospice House, a total of $68,000. I have also completed a 1500 mile ride in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, (Northwest Loop) in '09. I am dedicated to the work Hospice does with a fundraising goal of $32,000 for this ride and $100,000 total. Thank you for your support of Hospice. Since then, I have ridden self supported around Lake Ontario, ridden the Blue Ridge Parkway, and self supported on the Allegheny Mt. Loop, an ACA route in the mountains of Virginia and West Virginia. During the summer of 2013, Ben and I rode the Northern Tier, from Anacortes, WA to Bar Harbor, ME, and then the Atlantic Coast Route from Poughkeepsie, NY to Baltimore, MD., a total of over 4800 miles!!! I have now raised over $130,000 for the Wellmont Hospice House!! I am now planning the next adventure, whatever that is! |
