Introduction	TEARS, The Emergency Animal Rescue Service, is a not-for-profit Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals dedicated to the rescue of injured animals, the investigation of cruelty and the prosecution thereof. We are one of the few organizations in Central Alabama operating on a 24 hour a day, seven day a week basis. We are also one of the only organizations which extends help to ALL animals, including wildlife, reptiles and livestock and specializing in horses. Our incorporation allows us to function through out the state of Alabama.
