| Introduction | At the age of 54 I have finally grown comfortable enough in my own skin to actually be myself, to stand up to even those I love most deeply to BE myself and to experience life at its fullest on my own terms. I am taking lemons and making grape juice and leaving it up to each individual to wonder why and how I have done so... I am a survivor of abuse from childhood through middle age, a widow, a mother, a grandmother, a survivor of Cancer that still wages a constant war against me, and the lover and companion of a wonderful man who has taught me it is okay to love life after all. I have published poetry, editorials, and short stories since the age of 12 and have had one full book of poetry published "Survive the Shadow Stalker" back in 2002. In addition to trying to build my own Real Estate business; Bonnies Home Sales, I am also working on my second book of poetry while traveling as often as I can with Tom and sometimes with my granddaughter. At the age of 54, I am playing in the sun and not so much in the shadows and realizing exactly how much of my life truly is a miracle. |
