| Introduction | Zella is a graduate of Northeastern Illinois University where she received her B.A. in Bilingual/Bicultural Education and a minor in History. Currently she is pursuing her Masters degree in Museum Studies at the Faculty of Information, University of Toronto. Llerena is a Chicago native and has volunteered at the Field Museum, Chicago, Mexican Fine Arts Museum, Art Gallery of Ontario and with the Culinary Historians of Ontario. Currently, Llerena is an Editor for a Toronto women's magazine called POIZE, freelance food writer, food museum advocate and works with organizations that promote food sustain-ability. Also, she is a collector of antique cookbooks and is currently working on publishing her first cookbook. Zella is also currently doing an internship for 3 months at the Southern Food & Beverage Museum and is working on an exhibit for the Treme neighborhood, Southern governors table settings and working with the SoFAB cookbook collection at the New Orleans Public Library. |

| Favorite Books | Sula by Toni Morrisson, Love in the Time of Cholera, Gabriel Garcia Marquez (in Spanish), Slow Food Nation, Carlo Petrini, George Washington Carver An American Biography by Rackham Holt, Any poetry by Jose Marti or Nicolas Guillen and Contemporary Art books. And a good cookbook always makes me giddy. |
