About me

Gender Female
Industry Arts
Occupation Jewelry Artist
Location San Jose, CA, United States
Introduction My first purchase as a child was 3 polished agates. My love of stones grew. A serendipitous experience in 2002 revealed to me that designing jewelry was to be my path; I had but to listen and follow. My work incorporates my love of color, ancient civilizations, natural history, diverse cultures -- and, of course, my life stories.

I create all the jewelry seen on my websites: Glimmerdream features sterling silver & vermeil designs, while the eponymous Elle Schroeder features high-carat gold designs.

Among my many lives, I’ve worked in high-tech sales & mktg in CA, started a successful food distributorship in HI; picked beans, hoed strawberries & tended bar in OR, co-owned one of the first rollerskating shops on a So Cal boardwalk & managed a small resort on a 34-acre atoll in the South Pacific.

I now live in Northern California with my husband (and "partner in adventure"), 2 Westies, Riff Raff & Buster; a Biewer Terrier named Bodhi (aka Sugar Monkey); and 3 cats, Kitty Boy, the Princess & Jake.
