Introduction	Dan & I met 30 years ago this coming Labor Day weekend waiting tables in Cape May N.J. After almost as many years working in Boston & New England, raising 2 fantastic kids, cutting the grass, shoveling snow, making dinners, and reading every book/magazine on sailing we decided to make the cruising adventure a reality. We gave our notice to our long time employers, adapted our home to accommodate our son taking over (roll up the rugs, box up anything really nice) and set about changing our 30 foot sailboat from a weekend sail/beer can racer into a vessel that we can live on for the next year and take as far as we choose to go. Untangling our lives and preparing to venture off has been an enormous undertaking, but the freedom and the journey we hope to have are irresistible to us. We intend to give it our all to stay safe, stay married, and be grateful for such an amazing opportunity.
