Introduction Me in 1200 characters: 1st generation immigrant from Vietnam. Initially lived in Milwaukee but parents separated and moved with mom and siblings to warmer southern California. Grew up in Vista, an uninteresting town in north San Diego. Went to college in Michigan (too cold and conservative) but finished at UC Irvine (too boring and sterile). Worked throughout high school and college in fast food and retail management. After college (the 4.5 year plan), spent 2.5 years in Japan as an English instructor. Returned from Japan to get a real career. Ended up doing day trading for a year during which time I turned $15k into 6 figures and then lost it all and then some. Got a realtor license but was too inexperienced to do much with it. Did some temp jobs for a couple of months before getting an entry level customer service position in the sales department of a software company. Got promoted quickly a couple of times. Got tired of corporate life and quit to oversee major home remodel. Back to sales at an advertising co. Lame job & started looking within months. Took another sales job with another software company. Almost two years later and here I am!
