Introduction | I have been scrapping and making cards for several years and I have been crafting much longer than that. Needless to say, I love crafts, but in recent years I have become addicted to paper crafts. Perhaps I’m reverting back in some ways. I feel so good when family and friends like the cards they receive from me or request a card I created. The Peddler's Galley name was birth in 1991. During that time I decorated specialty cakes (i.e. wedding, birthday, graduation, etc.) as much as I create greeting cards now. Before that, I was a licensed beautician and before that I sold/collected, matted & framed opened & limited edition art and after that I made & sold unique accessories for men and women; in between all of that I catered gourmet meals for small parties. I met a lot of unforgettable people along the way. You know who you are. While living in the Deep South, I sold fine art work for a friend. I needed business cards; however, I had no name. After a week of trying to find a name for myself my friend, Dee Valentine came up with a name for me. She said, 'Lorie, you have so much going on. You're like a d*** peddler. Let's call you The Peddler's Gallery.' I liked it. |
