Introduction	The page "about WW" gives details of the artists in my Scottish ancestry, and shows the influence of my Grandma Winnie. Today, when I'm not painting watercolours, I often study magic squares, tori, and other themes of recreational mathematics, such as those listed in the "archive." Specialist publications include articles by: Greg Ross in Futility Closet (An idler's miscellany of compendious amusements); Professor Jean-Paul Delahaye in Pour La Science (the French edition of Scientific American); and Joachim Brügge in Klan-Reden (a German review about chess in arts and science).
