| Introduction | Hey guys, my name is Derek. I grew up in Wisconsin, spent 4 years in the Marine Corps, and moved to Austin last year solely for educational purposes. I'm pursuing a degree in Athletic Training. I really haven't been interested in politics to date, however, I'm becoming more aware of how important the decisions politicians make are in affecting society. I haven't been involved in politics or shared many political experiences. I'm taking this class for my degree plan, but I also hope to get a better understanding of the current policy issues that are affecting myself directly. I did not fair well on the quizzes, definitely struggled more on the political knowledge portion. I'm looking forward to gaining a better understanding throughout the semester. |
