| Introduction | We are John and Fran who live in sunny, dry Yuma, AZ. We hopped on the 2023/24 138-Day Viking World Cruise after it was clear that COVID was on the wane. We are in our late 70's and this trip is to celebrate Mr. R turning 80 and while on board we'll not only celebrate Christmas but also our Anniversary (married on the first day of the new millennium 1-1-2000, my birthday, Valentines, St. Patrick’s, Easter and May Day. We have done two, 2-month cruises with Viking (the Maiden Voyage of the Viking Star and one of the first trips to Antarctica on the Octantis) so we know that 138 days will be a breeze. We're excited about having the opportunity to expand our explorations together. We traveled for years on land in various RV configurations and at the same time did volunteer jobs in Alaska to Delaware and everything in between. We're using this blog as an opportunity to post photos and dialog describing our experiences and adventures on the World Cruise. |
