| Introduction | Acktor’s Theatre was formed in 2008, to promote experimental theatre, and has emerged as one of the leading performers in Ahmedabad’s Theatre scenario. The group has produced several Gujarati, Hindi and Urdu plays and its productions are marked by fresh talent, innovative production value, technical precision, and contemporary aesthetics. It has extended audience reach by using music, dance, poetry, Indian Literature and the martial arts, with participation by frontline artistes in these genres. The group has more than 150 performances to its credit. The group has received several awards at state, national and international level competitions. A group of the best Theatre Artists across the state belong o the Performing Arts & Fine arts. It is an attempt at encouraging Experimental, untried & Non-commercial theatre where it is abysmally absent. It’s a genuine try to provide a better stage and quality work to the Theatre artists, and to showcase the best productions with a variety of flavors to the audience. It is a cluster of the most vigorous and creative young theatre Artists of Gujarat. |
