| Introduction | Welcome to our blog! I am the Mom of an 11 year old Type 1 Diabetic and an AADE Associate Diabetes Educator. My son was diagnosed at 13 months old. Nine months after diagnosis we started our journey into low carb, along with long-forgotten insulin management techniques, as a means of obtaining better control of his diabetes. As a result we achieve nearly normal (non-diabetic) blood sugar levels because... we think diabetics are entitled to normal blood sugar too! Our whole family is low carb because we feel it's healthiest for all of us. We are always learning and growing. We hope you will follow along with us. |
