| Introduction | I am an American living in Genoa, Italy with an Italian boy-friend named Roberto and a Weimaraner named Moses... a 50th birthday gift from that Italian. So far, I've spent 13 years with the first and 9 with the second. What first brought me to Italy, in 1988, was fashion. And, for 15 years I designed a hell of a lot of clothes & shoes, though mostly shoes. | Interests | Anything to do with airplanes & airports, opera & Baroque music, contemporary art, gardening though, occasionally, I'll kill a plant or two and fashion. |
| Favorite movies | The King's Speech, A Good Year, Gone with the Wind, The Sound of Music, BBC's Pride & Prejudice, Parting Glances, Four Weddings and a Funeral. All this means is that I am incurably sentimental. So be it. |
| Favorite music | Basically, I'll listen to anything & everything with a human voice singing. I adore opera, less Verdi or Puccini, but more Handel & Rameau. Once a year, I go through all of Wagner's operas, an orgy of Valkyries und Tristans, etc. I do have periods for jazz... Keiko Lee, Julie London, Cleo Laine or Blossom Dearie or Tony Bennett!!! |
| Favorite books | A Confederacy of Dunces, A Short History of a Small Place are two which immediately come to mind. As for authors... anything by John Keegan, Barbara Tuchman, especially the March of Folly, and Winston Churchill. |
