Introduction	When not reflecting upon food,I primarily walk and read a lot, not necessarily at the same time. With the rest of my time I volunteer at my local library and also at a beautiful state beach named Crystal Cove. I read a lot of books that have to do with food and cooking, not just cookbooks and essays but novels too. There is something very comforting in this sort of writing. I do appreciate my readers (can I say that without sounding pretentious?) and would love to hear comments from any of you who are so inclined.
Favorite books	The Gastronomy of Marriage by Michelle Maisto - it's a lovely and fun memoir with recipes of course. The Last Chinese Chef by Nicole Mones has to be my favorite book of all time. It has travel, exotic places, mystery, a love story and of course FOOD. Julie and Julia, the movie just came out to much acclaim. The movie is based on the book Julie and Julia by Julie Powell. It's worth reading.
