Introduction	I'm from a place where art is a way of viewing the world and my place within it. I've made a life with art and made a living with it. It's a work in progress. * * The secret to a successful career must involve finding a way to get paid for what you'd willingly do for free. Marketing and design, graphic illustration, art, journalism, and sundry odd jobs that make for interesting stories. For the past 10 years, I've taught art in public school and online, write about art and (try to) develop my own artwork. * * I'm from a life with art, too. My parents instilled a love of art, literature, learning about history, culture, and life in general. And I'm continually amazed by human creativity and the innate need to express oneself in whatever form that takes.
