| Introduction | I served as an 11Bravo in Vietnam and Cambodia in 1970. After 10 months I was medivaced to Japan. While in rehab My job was to take MARS phones around to the wards so wounded GI's could call home. I saw both sides of war. I loaded dead and wounded brothers onto choppers from the jungle, and watched as maimed soldiers tried to explain to their families and girlfriends that they had lost arms, legs, or had their faces burned off. Those expriences caused me to vow that I would do all I could to prevent or end foolish and unjust wars. My country is involved in one now. |
