| Introduction | I have a B.S. in Education and an M.A. in English. I have taught English and language arts to students in grade 8 through college. I have taught in one junior high (grades 7-9), five high schools, and five colleges. I have taught so-called "regular," honors, AP, developmental, inclusion, and remedial classes. I started in a small town in Southern Illinois, taught in a southern and a northern suburb of Atlanta, and ended up in rural East Tennessee. Because I'm easily bored and like variety, I've taught most everything that English Departments have to offer. I'd like to think that I had 30+ years of experience rather than one year of experience 30+ times. Because of those 30+ years, I have some things to say. |
