P. J. PROBY - EMI's "70th Birthday" CD project

About me

Introduction	From a young age I have had a wide appreciation and interest in the entertainment world. This passion combined with my more creative traits has opened doors working freelance as a project coordinator for the likes of EMI Records, SonyBMG and Orion Books. WHAT DO I DO? My role can be anything from just researching/writing liner notes for CDs, Books, DVDs to fully coordinating these projects from start to finish. The latter of which normally involves me devising themes for projects, selecting song material and suggesting suitable shots for the packaging. My trademark is to devise innovative projects that have a strong sales pitch aimed to attract not only casual buyers but also appeal to the artist's fan base. This blog follows my research on my latest project devoted to American balladeer P.J Proby. My aim is to release a CD in celebration of his "70th birthday" in 2008 that focuses on his successful signing to Liberty Records/EMI Group (1964-72).
