Your bow is not broken but you've run out of arrows. How can you fake being a bard?

Bards don't use bows and arrows. They sing and write ballads and journey between courts and kingdoms. Archery is not a required skill... it's irrelevant. So, I'd go on doing the same thing I'd been doing: singing, traveling, wearing a long cloak, and associating with kings and things.
