Introduction | I am retired from The Boeing Company as an Avionics Electrical Engineer on the Space Shuttle at Kennedy Space Center. I spent 30 years working on the shuttle and was on the inaugural and final launch teams. My career started with 4 years in the Navy onboard the USS Hoel (DDG-13) followed by 5 years with Bendix Field Engineering working at remote Spaceflight Tracking Stations. I also spent a few years with Rockwell building the B-1B Bomber and spent one and a half years on loan to the Sea Launch Program in St. Petersburg, Russia and Long Beach, California. I supported the inaugural Sea Launch mission from a launch platform in the South Pacific. I am serving my 3rd Antarctic Winter two at the South Pole and one at McMurdo Station. |
