| Introduction | From my childhood on a cattle ranch in eastern Colorado, to my travels throughout North America, Hawaii and Europe, I have been inspired to paint a wide variety of subject matter. I am primarily a landscape painter and have developed a photo-impressionistic style, working mostly in oils.... My landscapes tend to be a nostalgic, peaceful view of the world. The awesome strength and majesty of God's earth, ocean and sky are an undercurrent in my paintings. I love the outdoors and consider myself highly privileged to be living and painting at the foot of the magnificent Sangre de Cristo range..... I obtained a BFA degree in painting and sculpture from Tulane University, and a teaching degree from Colorado State University. My husband and I now have 3 grown children and we reside in rural Westcliffe, Colorado, where I maintain my studio. My work is currently displayed at JVParker ART and 3rd Street Gallery in Westcliffe, Michael's on Main in Canon City, and Firedworks Gallery in Alamosa. |
