| Introduction | I just finished college and I was sitting in my room one day watching YouTube when I saw a video on an RC jet that went 200 miles and hours. I thought, "That's what I wanted to do one day was to start a project to build an remote controlled super jet.” I had to get started somewhere, so, what did I buy? A British Spitfire from Nitroplanes. After it hung in my room for a month, from fear of crashing it, I thought to myself, "I need a a trainer." So I looked around on the web and found Hobby King, and they had a J3 Cub (RTF) for $119.99, which I bought. On my first attempt, I crashed miserably, but after a few repairs and many attempts I got it off the ground and landed it in one piece. After a few years of flying I'm ready to talk about experiences and problems I have had in this hobby of model flying. From RC planes to quadcopters, I have built and made some good, some not so good from the motors I like the best to the downright garbage I have been tricked into buying. It's a long road but a fun one. |
