| Introduction | I am going to save the world from art programs disappearing in public schools. I will graduate in may of 2010 with a BFA in Printmaking and will student teach and then go on to teach high school art. Think outside of what society has conditioned you to. Not everyone has to want marriage, kids, or money, some of us don't have any of those on our agenda.I resent very little more than the "American Dream"- the perfect house in the suburbs with two kids and a cat and a dog, falling into the daily routine of work and family. Travel, see the world, and don't worry about money. Take risks and challenge yourself to do something more with your existence than simply being a good parent or spouse, how about being good to yourself. Being selfish is totally fine. And also- you shouldn't get married and conform to a society that doesn't support love, because regardless of your moral choices, no one else's should be restricted. It isn't about WHO you love, it's about HOW you do it. While I can tolerate your religion and choices, you should tolerate mine. We may live in the "land of the free" but those freedoms are still very limited. Hate is learned, not something we are born to do. |
