| Introduction | I have worked as a music teacher since 1988, when I graduated from Leeds University. After spending many years as a freelance musician and teacher in Hampshire, I eventually worked for Dorset Music Service teaching woodwind for 10 years full time. In 2002 I moved to Luton and have been teaching woodwind and piano for Hertfordshire Music Service, working with 80 students each week. I have a number of students privately that I work with after school, covering all ages from 5-75 years old. Every term I enter 20 candidates for Trinity/guildhall and ABRSM exams with a 100% success rate. As a pianist I work mainly as an accompanist for music exams, independent concert bookings, and as a ballet pianist for Brewer Dance Academy. I have many years of SEN experience, bath as a freelance "musician in residence", and also as a visiting music coordinator organising choirs and musical activities. I offer theory lessons to all my students, and intensive "bootcamps" for students needing their grade five theory in a hurry! |
