| Introduction | Dr. Teresa Graham has been working as a counsellor in private practice for fifteen years, first in partnership with her husband, and on her own since his death. She has a degree in Psychology and Sociology, a Diploma in Counselling and a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology. She has researched professionalization strategies in Counselling for her PhD in Sociology in 2003, and has Certificates of Competency in Psychometric Testing. She is a member of the British Psychological Association. She has lectured in Psychology and the Sociology of Health and Illness on various certificate, diploma and degree courses in Waterford Institute of Technology, the University of Limerick and DCU. She had taught modules for PCI in the Foundation Certificate programme and the Research Module in the BSc programme. She is involved in continuing research in the field of health care and has delivered papers on the topic in Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales and the Netherlands. She is currently undertaking further training in family mediation. |
