| Introduction | I am lucky enough to teach an afterschool art program for the wonderful students at Magellan Charter School in Raleigh, North Carolina. I also teach Summer Creative Arts Camps for preschoolers and Art Camp for Elementary School Students. In my free time I write articles for a popular teacher's magazine. I love art! I love to teach art, I love to share art, and I love to make art! I have a passion for building creativity in children. A passionate child is a happy child. They grow into young adults with passion and purpose. I like crayons! I might like crayons a little too much. My husband says I need a crayon intervention. He thinks noone could possible need as many crayons as I have, I fear he may be right. I'm putting a buying freeze on crayons beginning today. I love children's books! The more beautiful the illustrations the better. I like to use picture books when teaching art to children. I am blessed with two beautiful, funny, intelligent and creative children and a loving, supportive husband, and a very neurotic dog. |
