| Introduction | I am a pastor at Asbury United Methodist Church in Tulsa, OK. Specifically, I serve as Pastor with Young Adults at this large suburban United Methodist Church. This blog features my reflections both as a young pastor in the UMC and my ministry at Asbury. My undergraduate work was at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa. My seminary work was at Perkins School of Theology at SMU, where I graduated in 2008 with my M.Div. To give you a glimpse into my theological perspective, I attribute most of theological shaping to people like: Elaine Heath, Billy Abraham, Roy Heller, James Shelton, Jeffrey Lamp, Don Chaffer, NT Wright, Stanley Hauerwas, and the countless Sunday School teachers/VBS workers/youth workers who spent time with me. |
