He taught himself to draw and paint in oil by studying and copying works by John Singer Sargent, Rembrandt, David, Michael Angelo and Raphael. A believer in the strength and permanence of classic design, He draws inspiration from the Old Masters. Each of his portraits is created as a classic piece of art that represents the integrity and the charm of each subject. He considers Rembrandt and Velazquez to be his greatest influences.
