Introduction | I am a retired teacher after having taught over 35 years in the Brookline Public School system. Young children love to learn about the real world. I love to integrate literacy and social studies, with technology, and teach about various aspects of culture in places I have traveled to around the world. Presently, I consult for school systems, writing integrated curriculums with "rigor." I have consulted for Primary Source, a non-profit global institute to teach teachers how to implement a global education, integrating literacy - non-fiction and fiction, aligning the lessons to the Common Core Standards. I have been a permanent ELL substitute for a teacher on maternity leave at the Countryside School in Newton, MA. and a permanent substitute for first grade at the Baker School last November through June. Presently, I am subbing in Brookline and teaching grades 5-7 after school at the College for Success Academy, affiliated with the Steppingstone Foundation. I have a wonderful family! I have been married for over 35 years. We have two children; my daughter is 30 years old, and my son is 25 years old. We all love animals and each other! |
