Introduction	Hi! This is Esther. I was born on the Caribbean twin island of Trinidad and Tobago. From birth I was exposed to fashion and designing. You see, my mother was an accomplished seamstress who operated one of those old fashion manual peddle machine. My older sister also got involved with sewing and excelled. It’s against this backdrop, my career evolved. As a teenager, after school I would hang around her studio giving assistance and ideas. I’ve always had a creative mind, so I would always give her ideas on how to make something simple look elaborate. Upon noticing my talent, when I finished school I became her apprentice. She loved working with cotton, so this gave us a chance to really use our creativity, we dyed, banana stain, stonewash etc.
