| Introduction | As a teacher of 37 years, I am a lifelong learner. I tell my students each fall that I have been going to school every year since I was five. I also tell them of a wise old teacher who once told me that she learned something every day she went to school, and so it goes. So taking this degree program is an extension of my life in education. I love my family. I have been married for nearly 35 years and hope to be for another 35. My older son competed in speech and debate in high school, and is now working as a manager in retail. My younger son finished his degree in marketing and is currently my assistant debate coach. I am pleased that my two daughters are pursuing careers in education. My bride is very involved in the Girl Scouts, and we support each other's activities by participating in them whenever we can. |
| Interests | Family, school, sports, music, forensic activities, history, I am a Chicago sports fan, except for the Cubs, as any self-respecting White Sox fan will tell you. I enjoy playing a round of golf and am the floor announcer for my high school's basketball games. I manage the school's internet radio station which gives an outlet to some of the most interesting types of students at my school. My time is also spent coaching my speech and debate teams, and have enjoyed many successful seasons in forensics. |
