| Introduction | My mother taught me to sew as a child and I've been hooked ever since; many a happy childhood afternoon was spent rifling through boxes of fabric, trimmings and ribbons in the Aladdin's cave that was our loft. GCSE and A Levels in Textiles developed into a Fashion & Lingerie Design degree from DeMontfort University, and despite forging a successful career in PR my passion for sewing has never waned. I taught sewing classes for 3 1/2 years at The Make Lounge in London, as well as continuing with bespoke commissions, everything from home furnishings to wedding dresses. |
