Introduction	I am a writer, editor, humanist and lifelong student of ideas, languages and culture with a B.A. in Spanish and a M.A. in Interdisciplinary Humanities. I quit my day job in February of 2013 to write full time.
Interests	History, Foreign Languages, Literature, Art, Mexico, Japan, ideas about the future, cultural anthropology, and education.
Favorite movies	Indies, Most of the Cohen Brothers, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Last of the Mohicans, L.A. Confidential, Midnight in Paris, and Turner Classics. Recent films I loved include Life of Pi, Moonrise Kingdom, Lincoln and Argo.
Favorite music	Mozart's Mass in C Major, "At Last" sung by Etta James, "Cause We've Ended as Lovers" by Jeff Beck, Beethoven's Eighth Symphony first movement, Classic Rock, Global, New Age.
Favorite books	A Hundred Years of Solitude by G. G. Marquez, A. S. Byatt's Possession, the Japanese classic The Tale of Genji, Thomas Cahill's histories, Billy Collins' poetry, Biographies, Memoirs, etc., etc., etc...
