Introduction	Brian Patrick Byrne has served as a technical director, lighting designer, director, and technician on many shows in his eighteen years working in theatre. After discovering the joy of working behind the scenes during his freshman year of high school, he continued on to study at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where he earned his BFA in Theatrical Lighting Design. Through working as a staff member in theatre venues at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, Brian developed a love for teaching young people about technical theatre and sharing that joy he felt when he first discovered theatre back when he was a high school student. He started teaching tech theatre at a Connecticut boarding school until 2007 when Brian and his wife Lisa Byrne moved closer to Lisa’s family in Los Angeles to raise their new family. Now a father of two beautiful children, Brian is currently in his third year at Milken Community High School serving as a resident Technical Director and Technical Theatre teacher.
