| Introduction | I started this blog because I love to write, and I was tired of the standard replies that came my way whenever I told someone that I love hockey: "Oh yah, do you have a boyfriend/father/brother/uncle/distant second male cousin that plays hockey?" - or - "PUCK BUNNY!!" The truth is that I only dated a hockey player once, and my dad and my brother are forced into watching games by ME, not the other way around. I love the heart, the grit, and the speed of the game. I love that with 2 seconds left in the third period, you still have hopeful fans on the edge of their seats because anything can happen. I will never forget Wayne Gretzky's face as he dejectedly sat on the bench in Nagano. I will always stand when the gloves are dropped. And the Leafs will forever be my team, no matter how badly they destroy my will to live. I love hockey. And this is my blog about it. |
