Introduction Deema was my mother, a Sinhalese lady from Sri Lanka who moved to Singapore but took her spices and knowledge of delicious home-cooked Sri Lankan food. In Singapore she added ingredients and spices from Chinese, Malay and Indian cooking. She was the first fusion cook that I knew. Luckily for everyone around her she was quite the cook. There was always a rush whenever and wherever her food was served. Now it is my turn to share her wonderful tastes and flavours with you. I hope you enjoy.
