Investment into web technologies burgeoned until the dot com crash. Post 2000, investment began anew and in earnest into smarter and more efficient business leverage of the Internet. If you follow the more traditional ideas about web design, you hire a firm and spend thousands on a website that looks as good as you can afford. That was strategy 2004. Enter 2010. SEO and SEM are the norm. I call myself an Orange County SEO expert, and rightfully so based on my experience and research but what is also true is that a real SEO expert is anyone who takes the time to completely understand their own business and demographic and implement what really triggers a response from the search engines.
