| Introduction | Still riding after all these years. Started riding in 1981/82 on a $500 Nishiki Royal touring bike. I thought it was the coolest bike ever, until I discovered it really wasn't. Crossed the U.S. in 1999 and 2007. Also rode 293 miles in 21 hours, Seattle to Spokane, WA. in 1995. This was no land speed record but did it solo/unsupported, same as the 1999 trip across the states. Still love it but the lactic acid builds up more quickly now. Something about getting older. |
