| Introduction | I am a California girl getting on in years or so the grandkids seem to think. But I feel as young as ever with as much interest and passion for living as I have ever had. That is the strangest thing about being my age--I always thought being "older" somehow would be different from being "younger", but, to my surprise, I feel the same, I'm still kind, still shy and have no talent for small talk whatsoever! And I have the same deep love for my "girls" (and now their families), the always remembered love for Dillard who was my husband and friend for what seems such a short, wonderful time, and, for better or worse, the same interest in houses and decorating that I have always had. Therein lies the basis for my next adventure--building my new dream house and the reason for setting up my own blog, that is, to chronicle the construction. |
