He had also worked as vice president at the largest educational publishing company in the Philippines and an executive director of a foundation involved in teacher training. He had also been chair of the education committee of an association of corporate foundations. He now does freelance consultancy and runs his own agency, Maverick Communication Inc (Mavcomm), a company specializing in corporate communication, corporate identity management, graphic design, integrated marketing communication, communication strategic planning, and writing services.
