| Introduction | I am a Celtic Edgewalker. An Edgewalker is someone who walks between worlds. We are the bridgebuilders who link different paradigms, cultural boundaries and world views for the greater good. We are not constrained by faith or cultural barriers. Edgewalkers have the excitement of being on the leading edge, but we pay a high cost in terms of feeling disconnected. Edgewalkers feel different because we are different, and this can be lonely. Yet we have the gift of being able to see what others aren't able to yet comprehend...and the ability to take steps to make the vision a reality The great Celtic Saints Aidan, Cuthbert, Hilda, Brendan, Columba and David knew that too often we set boundaries that are unreal and in doing so close our eyes to the wonders of the world and the potential of people around us. By placing themselves on the edge at places such as Holy Island, they lived a life full of heartfelt passion and love for humankind. Modern day edgewalkers such as Gandhi, Martin Luther King and Badshah Khan inspire me to create a better world for people of all faiths. They knew, felt and lived the truth behind the African phrase "Ubuntu" - "I am because you are" |
