| Introduction | I am 22 and I have been living in Moscow since the autumn of 2007. I study political science and I live in a dorm in the outskirts of the city. I share an apartment with four other girls. I am Hungarian – a foreigner in Russia who is neither from the West nor from the East really. The unconditional enthusiasm I had felt towards the city when I arrived slowly turned into hatred, then indifference. However, since this is not something I can end right now because I have two more years until my graduation, I decided to rediscover the place, now more objectively. I don’t want this to be a love and hate relationship anymore, but rather a marriage that works. In order to feel the excitement again I am going to write. |
