Introduction	I became passionate about the field of Nutrition in college and eventually received a B.S. degree in Food & Nutrition Research from the University of Missouri - Columbia. It was there I met my husband of 37+ years and was blessed with three healthy, happy sons. The best job of my life was being a stay-at-home mom for these (at times) rambunctious boys. They taught me so much! But now, they are all adults, taking care of themselves and those they love, not needing much guidance from their parents. Almost three years ago I stepped outside my comfort zone and took a job at AnswerLine, an extension and outreach program at Iowa State University focused on answering questions about Food & Nutrition, Home Economics in general and almost any other question imaginable. Wanting more time to travel and a more flexible schedule, I retired from that position and now look forward to the next phase in life. For me, that is going to focus on exploring my creative side, which up until now has been deeply hidden!
Interests	baking artisan breads, cooking nutritious foods, gardening, biking, walking, kayaking, being outdoors!
