| Introduction | I was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. with an early interest in drawing. I went to college in East Texas starting out in Computer Science, and later ending up in the Art Department studying Drawing and Digital Art, primarily focusing on Web Design and 3D Modeling. I proceeded into the Master's program where in my last semester, I enrolled in a Digital Photography class that didn't teach Photography, per se, but focused on how to make use of Photoshop to make good pictures better. In this same semester I traded my 2.0 megapixel point-and-shoot camera I had had for the challenge of a Canon Digital Rebel 300D. I was instantly hooked and began focusing all of my attention into building my photography portfolio. The day after I graduated with my MFA, a friend I departed on a three week journey up to Sitka, Alaska to drop off his sister's car who had recently relocated there with her family. Having never seen farther west than Austin, TX, the experience was, to say the least, life-changing. Upon returning, I was drawn back to the southwest, and on November 1st, 2004, I left Texas with everything I owned packed up in a U-Haul and headed to Phoenix, AZ and never looked back. |
