Interests | Happy wife to Doug, doting Mom of Ava (born March 2006), and Liam (born July 2008), daughter, sister, aunt, friend. I am a walking dichotomy: I am uber-conscientious although I don't spell-check blog entries. I love camping, but enjoy deoderant and showers. I appreciate living in the 00's, but often pine for a more simple life in a less hectic time (does one exist?). I enjoy the latest celebrity fashion news but listen to NPR. My interests: all things family, outdoors, traveling, water activities, cooking, gardening, history, sociology, psychology, ancestry, creating things and tinkering. |
Favorite Movies | Braveheart, Far and Away, Better Off Dead (or most other John Cusack movies), Somewhere in Time, most 80's Cult Classics. |
Favorite Music | Right now kids' sing-along cd's seem to be playing FREQUENTLY in our cd players, Normally in the rotation: Allman Brothers Band, The Stones, SRV, Bob Dylan, Louis Armstrong, BB King (old stuff), Etta James, Beatles, John Lee Hooker, Feist, John Mayer, Poison! :), Ernest Tubbs, dare I say it...John Denver, older Rod Stewart (Gasoline Alley era), The Dead, Led Zep, The Killers, U2, Erasure, Madonna, anything Motown, most oldies, anything sassy! I'm a soundtrack junkie, too. |
Favorite Books | Cookbooks, "Boundaries" by Henry Cloud, "The Shack" by Young. |
You've successfully slain the dragon! How will you toast your marshmallows?
Fashion a marshmallow-toasting twig and then jump on his stomach repeatedly. There's got to be some left-over fire-in-the-belly somewhere in there...
