Introduction We believe Barack Obama is the best candidate for President in 2008. Obama has expanded the Democratic electorate throughout the primary season. His appeal among independent voters makes him a strong general election candidate. He is bringing a wave of young people into the political process that gives the Democratic party a huge boost for the future. We are a diverse group of voters supporting Obama from states including North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Oregon, and Rhode Island. We first organized in N.C. because our congressional superdelegates originally backed former Sen. John Edwards. When Edwards exited the presidential race, most had yet to endorse another candidate. Co-organizers: Erik Ose and M.L. Dexter have worked and volunteered for Democratic campaigns in North Carolina. Dana Lumsden is an attorney practicing in Charlotte, N.C. Dexter Ullith is an '04 Florida State grad who spent months volunteering for Obama in Columbia, S.C. Jason Zauder has worked with political and non-profit groups around the country and now lives in Tallahassee, Florida.
