Introduction I have written articles for a variety of publications. The magazines include Musical America, Piano International, Opera America, Early Music America, Opera Wire, Asymmetry Music Magazine, Open Spaces, Opera, MUSO, Seen and Heard - MusicWeb International, International Arts Manager, American Record Guide, Symphony, Opera Canada, The Lutheran, Odssey, Crosscut, Classical Voice of North America, Down Beat, Modern Drummer, PSU Magazine, and Sforzando. The newspapers include the San Francisco Chronicle, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, The Oregonian, The Columbian, The Portland Tribune, The Register-Guard, Willamette Week, The Hollywood Star, The Portland Observer, The Jewish Review, Northwest Examiner, and The Northwest Neighbor. I have written articles for the Oregon Arts Commission and the Grove Dictionary of American Music, 2nd edition. I was a fellow to the 2008 NEA Journalism Institute for Classical Music and Opera. I am a member of the Music Critics Association of North America (see www.mcana.org), and I live in Portland, Oregon. In my day job, I'm technical writer at Insitu. I am a member of the Bach Cantata Choir and the choir at First Immanuel Lutheran Church.
