Introduction Lisl Meredith Huebner, Dipl.CH (NCCAOM), RH (AHG) is a Nationally Board Certified Chinese Herbalist, as well as a Registered Herbalist and professional member of The American Herbalist’s Guild. Lisl Meredith is also a Certified Medicinal Aromatherapist, an Auriculotherapist and an Acupressurist, a Reiki III practitioner, a renowned diagnostician, teacher and published writer in private practice for over a decade. Lisl Meredith has been working with plants and herbs since early childhood; she began to study Western Herbology earnestly in 1986. In 1995, Lisl formalized her training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at the Connecticut Institute for Herbal Studies and then furthered her studies in Beijing, China at the Xuan Wu Hospital for TCM in 2000 and 2002. She has the rare distinction of being one of a handful of non-acupuncturists that has been certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She has studied acupuncture for detoxification at the Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Bronx, NY, and was certified as an Acupuncture Detox Specialist.
Interests Lisl Meredith (“Herbalisl”) gathers local wild herbs, mushrooms and edibles for food and medicine to share with friends, family and clients. Her love for the plants and trees has led her to create photographic artwork that captures the spiritual essence of plants which are then used as a tool to help others deepen their connection to nature. As a reverend of the Universal Life Church since 1995, Lisl has had the honor of leading ceremonies and performing weddings for friends and clients throughout the years. Herbalisl writes articles for many magazines and lectures frequently on a variety of topics related to nutrition and health. She enjoys contributing to her blog, “The Essence of Herbs” (http://herbalisl.blogspot.com) and is currently at work on her book. She continues to develop her knowledge of botanical medicine, agriculture and shamanism and enjoys sharing her wisdom and joy with others. She is committed to assisting others on their journey of self-enlightenment through the wisdom of the plants and trees.
